Here we need to clarify the difference of Room Price model vs Occupancy Based Pricing model

Room Price model means that we do not care how many persons actually stay at the room ,as the price remains the same for the lowest or highest capacity of the room.

Occupancy Based pricing model means that we want to differentiate the price depending on how many persons stay at the room .

In our system ,updating a prices for a room in Occupancy Based Pricing model is called Advanced Rating.

Keep in mind that if you are using a channel manager , the Occupancy Based pricing model is being handle from the channel manager. Please ask your channel manager account manager to help configuring the connection (mapping) the proper way to send final prices per occupancy to the booking engine.

Beneath process is for all manual updates you wish to do via BookOnlineNow's extranet directly OR if you are not using any channel manager at all.

Note:  The kid categories are set to Management -> Hotel Settings -> Pax , in the fileds

Example 1:

Studio room has a normal capacity of 2 people and extra capacity of 2

If the room price is 100 euro (for two people) and each extra person is 20 euro extra cost.

Then:

In the first box you put: 100 (price for 1 person)

In the second box you put: 100 (price for 2 persons)

In the third box you put: 120 (price for 2 persons and 1 extra person)

In the fourth box you put: 140 (price for 2 persons and 2 extra people).

Example 2:

Hotel has 2 children categories, one for ages 0 to 2 and a second one for ages 3-12 years.

In this case you just complete the first 2 boxes with the values you want to have for each kid category.

Scenario:

The hotel has the first kid category free of charge and the second category charged € 10 per child, then the boxes will be filled as mentioned beneath:
In the first box you add: 0 (this means that all infants aged 0-2 years old stay free of charge)

In the second box you add the value 10 (this is the extra charge for any kid aged 3-12 years old when is calculated as an extra person)

Note 1

If you want to change the price only for a specific number of adults, i.e. for 3 adults, you should fill in the relevant box with the price and leave all other boxes empty, and then click on Update button.

Note 2

The Kids price will be applied only for the number of kids that exceed the Minimum Pax of the selected Room Type/Rate Type

Example:

Superior Room has normal capacity 3

In the Non-Refundable rate plan, the Superior Room has Minimum Pax = 2

For 3 guests with 1 adult and 2 kids, the system will charge the price for the minimum pax (2 adults) plus the extra charge for one kid.
