BookOnlineNow Voucher suite is activated as a feature by BookOnlineNow support team for hotel that wish to sell Gift Vouchers and Extra Facilities and Amenities as an individual step in the booking engine front end user experience. In simple words, a hotel can sell Gift vouchers and extras without the obligation for the client to book a room accommodation at the hotel.The url link of this step for the hotels then is of this type: https://hotelname.book-onlinenow.net/gift

In the back office extranet hoteliers can find the Voucher Tab (when activated) in section
Rates/Vouchers.
This is the section each hotel can create :
- Voucher and Extras Groups
- Products (Gift Voucher or Extras) in each of the Group created
Step 1.0: Creating a Group
A Group is actually the TAG of the products that will be created . This will create separate section in the url https://hotelname.book-onlinenow.net/gift (screenshot 1) and also will give you the opportunity to have a unique link for the Group , that can be used to redirect the clients from your official web page (This will be analyzed more detailed in separate manual for direct links)
How to create a Group:
Go to section Rates/Vouchers.
You will find 3 activation buttons
- Add new Group
- Add new
- Set order
To start creating a Group you press the button 1 (Add new Group)

Here are the fields that need to be filled out in order to simply create the Group/Tag

Abbreviation | Name of the Group (for internal use) |
Description | Title Name of the Group (will be displayed in the front-end in the search results at the booking process) |
Extended Description | Detailed description of the Gift Voucher or Extra – – a short description of the Group (will be displayed in the front-end in the search results)

Image to be displayed | Upload the picture of your preference (ideal size W 500px X H 250px) |
Enabled | Click on the checkbox if you want to activate the GROUP. If you unclick the checkbox, the group is not active in the front-end. |
Step 2.0: Creating a Product for a Group
To start creating a Product for the group you press the button 2 (Add new) 
A new window will appear on the right with the fields shown beneath to be filled out by hoteliers
Field | Description |
Voucher Group | Select from the Dropdown menu the Group the product belongs |
Abbreviation | Name of the Product (for internal use) |
Description | Title Name of the Product (will be displayed in the front-end in the search results at the booking process) |
Extended Description | Detailed description of the Product – – what it includes (will be displayed in the front-end in the search results of booking process) |
Charge | Select from dropdown menu whether this is a Service (product that requires direct payment) or Credit (if you want to create a gift voucher for redeem codes to be generated) |
Show as | Select from dropdown menu whether this is :

Rate | Apply the cost of the product |
Active Period from to | Instead of using a basic rule you may apply directly the period the product should be visible and bookable for your clients via the booking engine |
